Goings on...

Not too much has been going on around here....just floundering to find some kind of normalcy. The big kids are doing ok- they pretty much don't care about Sully until he's asleep. Then they are ALL OVER HIM. I have to do a lot of threatening....Mira had her first day of summer dance class last Friday. She loved it, of course. They have been going to Pepper's twice a week. They are loving it and it's giving me a break!

Sully has been probably our fussiest baby so far. I was talking to some friends about it and someone mentioned the chiropractor. I had TOTALLY forgotten about that and when I took G. I really didn't want to take him all the way to Shawnee like I had to do with Griffin...so I am taking him to a chiro up here. We had our first visit yesterday afternoon. The evening was SO. MUCH. BETTER. I won't say he's colicky, because he's certainly not. He doesn't scream no matter what we do. He just requires holding constantly, cannot be put down, and screams occasionally. He needs to be rocked and patted vigorously to keep him calm....well, last night- he just kinda hung out! It was awesome! I am hoping he's on his way to being more comfortable. I know he has reflux- he's had it since we were in the hospital. I've been giving him zantac- which does nothing....So hopefully the chiro is our ticket.

It doesn't much keep me from being in love with him. He's still very sweet and he loves loves loves his mama. Here he is today with his worried face- he was ready for a nap! 9 lbs 6 oz today! I think he is probably gaining so fast because he nurses for comfort and not always for hunger.

Sully is in full time cloth diapers. I use about 3-4 disposables per week just out of laziness. It's been going really well and I feel good about it.

I feel bad because I can't really take the kids to do fun stuff this summer like I would like to. We can't play outside much because S can't be out in the sun and heat too much. He's not on a consistent nap schedule yet, so I can't really count on an hour or two to do something with them. We'll make it, but the summer's not nearly as fun as I wish it was.

I have started working out again. I have worked out consistently the last 5 days. Today I ran 2 miles on the treadmill. It feels awesome. I was surprised my endurance is so good after not doing vigorous workouts for so long! Triathlon Sept 10!
