Warning: SO MANY PICS!

Hi - I'm SEVEN Months!!! I am SO BIG! Mira still hates sitting, but she is doing better the more we make her do it! Not crawling yet- she's too mobile to need crawling I guess. Mira is exclusively cloth diapered now (except at Pepper's). We are loving it!! Hate those sposies!
This is *one* of her 4th of July outfits. You will see the rest I'm sure. The fam is headed to the lake with the Nichols' this week for the 4th. Should be fun!! She can stand for a really long time holding onto something.The infamous face shot...Can we be done now?? PLEASE?!She's killing me with cuteness today.

See Mira's new car seat? She loves it -can't you tell?! I think she really will because she'll be able to sit up more and see out. We aren't using it yet though- I am just not ready, but I LOVE IT!
Here's M playing in her walker in the garage. She doesn't walk really, just scoots.
M loves to play with Lizzie and grab at her tag. E doesn't seem to care at all- she's really good with her- I'm hoping she gets used to being messed with before M gets strong enough to pull her hair hard.

Mira is having a great morning. She is watching Baby Einstein- it's her fav. She didn't like the toys I got out for her, so she took it upon herself to get some more.She is brushing up on her reading because she heard Aunt Molly is coming to visit, so she wants to show her what she can do!

she's killing me

Ok, so I've been negligent...it's been a few days I know- and you've all been waiting in suspense! Mira has croup this week (a bad cough and fever) and ear infections plus she just got 4 top teeth at the same time, so it hasn't been an overly happy week for us so far! She seems good today though. These are just a few pics of her playing- I love this outfit so much I had to get a pic of it.
She loves to get up on all 4s on her changing table naked- I was trying to catch it, but when she saw the camera she refused to do it.We got this new night time fleece dipe- look at that big fluffy butt!So I had her in this outfit at Pepper's today until.....We got home and put THIS on! AH! How could I cover it up?! So cute it's killing me!

I'm getting better...

Well, Mira's friend Allie came up to swim with her at the big pool- they had a GREAT time! Obviously we couldn't take pics of them in the pool- someone had to hold them!! Here are some before and afters.

On another note- Mira can sit now- but she HATES it! She cries and cries when you sit her there.

bows and pigtails (well not yet)

Mira got her first bow from Aunt Casey yesterday- it actually stayed in! It was so so cute. Mira has been running a low grade fever for a few days which I have attributed to her teeth because she's getting her top two. Last night she spiked to 103.3! Yikes! I think she has an ear infection- I was going to take her swimming today but we stayed home just incase. She has no other symptoms- no cough, no runny nose, nothing...just fever. Weird.
Ok, so the f-ing camera batteries were low and these are all blurry- but still cute.

Happy Father's Day

Well, today was a pretty good father's day- ironically I didn't take any pictures of Mira and Brooks, but Mira wore her I love Dad shirt today. We went to Albany to see my grandparents and Mira's Grandpa Randy. Mira had a great time showing off all her tricks. She is very smart, you know.
Here she is with Grandpa Randy and his "friend" Suzie. Here is Mira with mom and Great Great Aunt Maxine! Aunt Maxine just bounced her on her lap and smiled. She loved seeing her. On a completely different note- I entered Mira in the baby of the month contest at www.happyheinys.com. If she wins she gets a $50 gift certificate to HH! HH has saved mornings at the Smith household. We have solved the wet bed syndrome!!! She wakes up dry dry dry in her happy hempy! (She had to be wearing their product in the picture) I think she is definitely the cutest entry of all- you can vote if you go to this site and click on the link to the left of the page and then do view entries. It's a bit hard to see- I was making rice crispie treats and Mira was rubbing her eyes and crying, so I brough her up and laid her down for a nap. She always messes around in there for awhile. I forgot that I had changed the sheets this morning and forgot to retie the bumper- woops!

I came home from a baby shower tonight and saw this- I couldn't resist- look how big her bum looks in her night night diaper. Such little feet sticking out. I just love her so much. She refuses to sleep on her back now. SO CUTE!

scary and prefolds (not scary)

I have some terrifying news- I think our computer is dead- it keeps saying "primary hard drive not found" and won't start up or anything. Every single picture of Mira is saved on that drive and I'm afraid they may all be toast. I realize that I have them all on snapfish and hard copy, but there's something about them being there that made me feel so secure that I would never lose any memory. My article on diapering was on there too....and now I'll have to start over :(
Prefolds- there's something about folding your own diaper that is completely satisfying. That's Mira in her prefold snappied. I'll sometimes go a week or two and not use a single prefold and then one day I'll decide to only use them. It's such an art and really- prefolds are one of the most absorbent diapers out there. They fit so nice around her tush. I just love them- they're such a staple and unlike other diapers- you can't mess them up in the wash. It's impossible! The only thing is you have to be careful about changing- if you don't do it often they'll get rashy. I've never had a leak with one though. Mira has pooped a million times today so I'm glad I am using them - I don't worry about stains as much as with the others- though I don't have any stains on anything as of this point.We went to the big pool today for the first time with Casey, Reese, and Addison- like a terrible mother I didn't bring a camera. What was I thinking? I know you would love to see. Mira is getting quite the tan. She LOVES the water. She was splashing and kicking and putting her face in. She could have stayed all day. I'll try to take pics next time...

Weekend

Really not much happened over the weekend. We saw the cousins a few times. Reese is such a turkey- every time I wanted a cute pic she would turn away! Mom and dad tried to get some work done around the house- the guest bedroom and bathroom are now finished...little by little it's getting done. We still have so much to tackle. I think we're moving our focus to outside until late fall/winter.I can't get enough of the smiling face...sorry!Mira is up on all fours now!! She rocks back and forth and if she wants something she pushes with her legs and face plants into the floor! It's hilarious. She hasn't figured out that she should move her arms first. I am quite obsessed- I'm sure you knew that already- there are several reasons but I won't go into it here! We did have a new event last night- Mira got up on her hands and knees and rocked back and forth!! Wow- crawling is coming fast!I gave her a teething biscuit- she was quite unsure about it at first.She came around though because she has inherited her mother's love of food- unfortunately.
