The Wedding

It's getting late and I need to get Mira to bed, so I'll just leave these for your viewing pleasure- I was in a wedding on Saturday- B was an usher. The kids had a blast eating chocolate and dancing all night.

Morning fun

Of course since I am off today we had to start the morning making a huge mess. Mira wanted to mess with her St Patty's Day Preschool stuff. Here she is picking out one to work on.
Griffy was super whiny this morning so I put him up to the counter and gave him some markers. It's starting to do a pretty good job of entertaining him. He's finally content with his puppies watching him color.
Eating his berries and watching the Zebra (one of his beloved Einsteins). He will ALWAYS eat strawberries. A few minutes later he was over here saying, "Mer Beyys." (More berries). So cute.

Griffy

No pics to post but we finally went for our 2 year checkup today and I have his stats....

23 lbs 5 oz- 5th percent!!! WOOHOO! Finally on the charts, although she insisted that we'll never be off Pediasure....

34.5 inches tall- 4oth percent. I knew he was getting tall!

He's behind on getting his teeth- just finishing his canines and no molars yet.

Yesterday I was feeding him breakfast- french toast sticks which he loves. He wouldn't eat them whole, so I cut them up. Well, he wasn't going to touch them. I picked one up and forced it in his mouth and he pushed it out about 5 times screaming before he finally ate it. About a minute later I looked at him and said, "So you can take a bite or I can make you take another one. What's it going to be?" By God, he picked a piece up and ate it. There was a LOT of cheering. The rest of breakfast played out the same way and he ate about 1 and 1/2 sticks. Today I've been using the same tactic. He tells me he's done and I say, "Either you can take another bite or I can make you." He picks it up with a smile and eats it. I hope this continues.

Just the last 2 weeks he's added in his "me's and you's" to his speech. ("Help me," "Hold you") This was one of the only things he didn't have at his Parents as Teachers eval. He talks a TON for a boy. Pretty much constantly understandable and even Molly can understand him, so it must be pretty good! He's generally a happy and very enjoyable little boy, although I do believe the terrible two's have started. He will scream and scream if he doesn't get what he wants....it's awesome.

He's still in his crib and will be until his feet are hanging off the end of it if I have anything to say about it! We'd had Mira in two different beds by this point! Sooner or later he'll be climbing out and we'll have to take the rail off...

We are working on colors, although not very hard....he sometimes knows blue, purple, and red. I figure he'll get the rest eventually!

Yes, we are still obsessed with cars. Cars everything. At least it's not Thomas where the trains are 20 bucks a piece!

He loves to sing. Fav songs- Happy Birthday, Dinah, Twinkle Twinkle, How much is that puppy in the Window, Jesus loves Me.
That's all for now!

Today

Can we say, princess?? Apparently she fell asleep like this the other night. Crazy girl.
G playing with his cd player. This rat just pulled out a HUMONGUS wad of Mira's hair....if you know how much hair she DOESN'T have you know how sad this makes me. He got a BIG spank and time out. He was devastated....and I was too :(
Eating a donut from Aunt Casey. Delicious!
Reese came over to play. There were a few good moments...heh. Cute.

Party TIME!

It was a great party- tons of kids and lots of friends. G had a fantastic time!

The cake- It's not exactly right as the orange frosting I made was too thick for how I was trying to put it on, but I am proud of it. I think it looked pretty cute and G liked it, though he hates cake in general and didn't eat any....
G got a new Cars chair. He loves it. I'm going to go get M a chair for the spring/summer too.
Blowing out his candles, or rather watching me blow them out. He didn't get it, but he liked it and kept saying "again." We did it 3 times...
He got 2 Mater cars. He loves them both equally. He carries them around everywhere. He also got Hudson, Sherrif, and another Lightning. IN LOVE.
Racing Hudson.
Looking at his Cars Balloons.
Mira playing colorforms.
He got this jeep- I bought it at TRUS at Christmas for super cheap. He loves it.
charlie has a "Lightning" car and brought it over. G wouldn't get in at first until I got in and started honking the horn. That did it- it was super fun to honk!

Opening some more presents. He had a lot of help!
Playing with his big lightning!
Grandpa always gets the job of tearing stuff out of the package. It makes him feel important ;)
Opening presents. He LOVED every single thing he got, so it took awhile because he had to stop and play with it!
The kids get to eat on the plastic table cloth we have- it works out SO WELL. While we were eating I had a little freak out because I thought the kids had snuck outside to play and we were all eating, but they were just quietly eating!
Coloring with Uncle Benny. It's pretty cute when he says his name.
Aunt Molly.

3/4/2010- 2 years old!

After I got home from work (late) we gave G his presents. He got new Lightning and Mater light up shoes, his blankie and pillowcase and 101 Dalmations movie. He loved all of them! Such a sweet sweet boy.
Checking them out. So cool.
Reading his babbit (rabbit) book from grandma.
Sharing!

He's 2 Tomorrow!

Um, NO ONE wanted to comment on how smart my child was?! Sheesh! Here she is- the genius.
And here's the bday boy- 2 tomorrow! I can't believe it. So sweet. He has the BEST personality. He's hilarious. Totally sweet- still lets me rock him before bed. And still existing on mainly Pediasure. Oh well.
It's going to be a CARS bday! WOOT! Here's his pillowcase and new quilt I sewed up for him. I can't wait. He hasn't had a pillow in his crib yet- he's going to think he's BIG stuff. He LOVES Mater (the guy on the left). He calls him Tater. The quilt is backed with the same fabric as the pillowcase.....upside down. Woops.
