Musings

You know, I can definitely say that my life is full. It's full. Very full. And Very busy. Three kids is a lot of kids to have. And then I look back at all the pictures from last year and I wonder how I could never have another newborn. Never watch another one grow. I wonder if I would enjoy a newborn more if I didn't nurse. I know I was definitely less stressed with Mira, but of course, I only had her, so it's hard to know. Most days people ask me if I want any more kids and I say, "Not this week." It's true. I'm finally almost back to my normal weight and shape and feeling good. I can't imagine at this point starting over, gaining weight again, screwing up my hormones, and going back to the beginning. I have no idea what the future holds for our family at this very moment. So much of me wants to move on. Watch them grow, move to the next stage of life. At the same time, letting go of this stage of life is BIG. You don't get another chance. You don't get to go back once you've moved on. I definitely don't feel like someone who should be moving on to "middle age." Whatever that might mean! Right now life is stressful, but I can't say that I don't love it at the same time. I love to watch the kids learn new things, explore life, and grow. It's amazing. It's sometimes hard to stop and enjoy it, but I try to do as good of a job as I can.

Just for fun

Mira seriously loves riding around with him.
So cute!

He is the sweetest happiest boy. Always smiling. He hates being by himself. He loves to crawl all over you constantly. We love him so much. I love watching him do new things every day. He had his 8 month weight check yesterday- 15 lbs 11 oz. He's tiny, that's for sure, but growing. He's just a tiny bit bigger than Griffin now. He eats pretty much whatever. He loves to try new things. Last night I pulled some carrots and zucchini out of our soup and put them on his tray. He chowed! It's so fun giving him new stuff! He's cruising around everything and I'm sure will be walking soon....much to my dismay.
He's a good sleeper for the most part. He takes 2 good naps most days 1-2 hours twice a day. At night he is sleeping from 7-730 pm - about 7 am. About 50% of the time he is up once a night usually around 4-5 am or so, but not all that consistently. I hear him fuss around in there sometimes before that, but he puts himself back to sleep and it never really turns into crying. He's just such a good boy!!

Randoms.

I had this James hat made for Griffy by a friend. He was hilarious about it.
Mira doing her puzzle at her new table. I think she likes the independence of doing what she wants at her table.
One of the nice days last week. He loves being outside.
Just Griff and his trains.
Watching Tv one morning last week. Sometimes they are nice to each other.
Not too much going on here. I am enjoying the winter much more than usual with this warm weather. I've been doing weight watchers pretty successfully. Almost back to normal. Sully is growing, the kids are enjoying school and we're just taking it day by day.

8 Months

I know I'm a terrible poster. Sometimes I care, but most of the time I don't. I'm sorry.
