Mush
Ok, so I haven't been overly mushy for awhile- so here goes. I am just overwhelmed every time I see M with out much I love her. Sure, I'm super overly emotional right now, but still! When the day is over I tend to think- dang, another day is gone- did I spend enough time with her? Did I really play with her or did I do my thing and use the TV as her playmate? Was I annoyed when she needed too much attention? Did I make her spend too much time in her carseat? Did I REALLY pay attention to how wonderful she is? I play these questions over and over and I always find that I didn't appreciate her as much as I wish I did. It's always after she's asleep that I want to hold her so bad. She is letting me rock her to sleep now which is very sweet. B says I shouldn't do it because when we have another one we aren't going to be able to and she's going to expect it. I say there are worse things in life than spending that five minutes in a quiet room singing to my baby. She's just so busy now and doesn't have time for me when she's awake.
Grandma Della and some other family were in town this week- here's M taking a lesson from Grandma!
This is our new morning routine- thanks to Pepper. Mira drinks her own bottle now! She is taking her lunch bottle out of a sippy cup too and doing great! She only likes one certain kind of sippy (which leaks everywhere) but I figure she'll get over it.
M got a new walker (yes it's up against the wall). She hasn't quite learned to walk behind it yet, but she'll stand and play with it forever! She loves the lights and music. She pulls up on everything now- the cabinets, the wall, her toys, the couch, EVERYTHING! She's pretty good about not crying when she falls. She is cruising in the most primitive form of the word- she's not quick at all, but can get around to where she wants to be.
It is true that my life is consumed with Mira- but I wouldn't have it any other way. Being a mother is the only thing in life I was ever sure of- and it's better than I ever could have imagined.

sleeping beauty
I love that baby!
Mira just loves the baby in the mirror- she tells her all kinds of stories when she's getting changed and getting dressed. They talk and talk. Here we are getting ready to go to church. We are trying out a new one this week- wish us luck! Grandma Lana is in town this weekend, so we've been busy playing with her!

She still won't crawl- well not in the traditional way- she's very fast at army crawling...she doesn't really care to figure out crawling- she's trying too hard to pull up on every single thing she can- even us if we're on the floor. Baths are starting to get dangerous!! She will sit without crying now though! YAY! Grandma Lana found her sitting up by herself in her crib Friday! First time!

New Tricks
Well, we have had a busy week- Aunt Molly was here from Tuesday to Thursday and we had a blast- but didn't seem to take any pictures! We went to the zoo today but forgot our camera. Mira didn't care too much about the animals anyhow. Tomorrow Grandma Lana is coming from Texas! Here Mira is learning to type- she's very advanced, you know.
Mira has learned a special new trick- here it is:
I couldn't resist these pictures of her before bed in her babylegs....They are so adorable!
Mira is still resisting holding her bottle- but here she was doing a pretty good job.

night time pics
Ok, so now that I've learned to load video, you may be seeing a lot of it! It's so fun!! I hope you enjoy watching her play as much as we do. Here's some bath video from tonight- she has a ball in there every night.
Here's our first pair of baby legs- hehe they're hilarious! Keep her little legs warm at night!
And here's precious M at bedtime tonight. So sweet even though she was driving me nuts earlier!!

Bath and more
Well, I tried to upload a video, but of course I couldn't figure it out. :( Oh well. Here are some new bath pics. M has some letters that stick to the side- we put them up and she loves to pull them off. she rolls ALL around in the bath tub. She doesn't care if her face gets wet at all. Back to front she rolls around!

She thinks hanging upside down is hilarious.
She's SO wiggly when you try to hold her now- it gets pretty annoying.
She's trying so hard to crawl, but she lifts her knees up and does this bridge thing. It's pretty funny. That's what the video is of- if I can ever figure it out I'll put it up. She gets on her hands and knees all the time, but can't figure out how to move her hands.

I don't think I ever posted this pic of M's teeth- you can see them a lot better now- this was last week. I'll get a new one taken soon!
Hi everybody!
Since I've had many questions about my colored hands lately- here's the result of my dying experience!
Oh- and I know lots of you get tired of hearing about our diapers- I'm sorry it annoys you- I feel very passionately that this is the right thing for our family right now and for Mira. If you really don't want to hear about it- there's no reason to comment when you see me or when you see me changing her. To us- this is normal. I will probably continue to post pictures of the ones I think are cute because I enjoy it- the blog isn't only for you- it's for me. Just look past the diaper and enjoy Mira.

Happy 4th!
Well, Mira spent her first 4th at the Lake of the Ozarks with the Nichols'. We had a good time, though we had to cut it short because Mira wasn't feeling good and running a high temp!
Here are Mira and Mom on the dock:
Mira really likes to put her hands in our mouths and touch our teeth- weird.
Mira and Daddy:
Hi everybody!!
Mira is soooo tall!
I love this little scooter!!! I can ride by myself!
Sacked out sick- can we go home now?
