This kid is so fun to feed. He will try almost anything. Today is strawberries, a pb sandwich, and turkey. He is in heaven! I think he is starting to say "all done" too. So cute!

Bath in the Sink!

So first is a pic of me and my cuddle bug. No other kids are TRUE cuddlers but Griffy is. He loves to lay with us and cuddle. I love it.
I gave Sully a bath in the sink tonight. I am transitioning him to more table foods and he was a mess tonight after eating. I cleaned the sink and plopped him in. He thought it was hilarious!
And tried to eat the faucet. Ick.
So Mira brought him some cars.
YAY!

Smith Family Guide Book

So recently I have been struggling with computer time vs productive time and balance. I am completely attached to my computer. The best thing my husband could ever buy me would be a Mac Book (hint hint) all of my own. I am dependent on it. I have used Google calendar for about 3-4 years now exclusively. I have tried at times to break away to a normal calendar, and it just doesn't work, but I find that when I come down in the morning to figure out my plan of action, I become SO DISTRACTED by the internet also. My cleaning lists are on my computer, my calendar, EVERYTHING. So I talked to my friend Megan, and became obsessed.

This weekend I am working on the Smith Family Guide Book- basically a family notebook to house various things, but most of my stuff and my daily/weekly plan.
The first page is a weekly game plan for me- left hand corner is my daily task list with check boxes. Things like feed fish (which I can never recall if I did or not), make beds, sweep (which I generally never do), etc. On the right is a section for things I want to accomplish in the week, goals. At the bottom is basically a week at a glance- our schedule. Across the bottom places to write in our dinner plans and my workout plans.
The next sheet is my monthly snapshot of house cleaning. I've had a spreadsheet on Excel since September, but like I said, I need to break away from the computer. It's broken down into weekly, twice monthly, and monthly tasks with check boxes!!! <3 To the right is a place to write down some of my fav Bible verses or quotes to inspire me.
This section is about meals. I don't do "meal planning" because I use E-mealz (for a year now) which works fantastically for our family. I did find a sectioned grocery list on the net for free that I love, so I printed some off to keep in this section along with menus to come.
This section is babysitter info- basically has our address, phone numbers, etc. It also has a sheet we will fill out each time we leave with where we will be, phone numbers, who to call if they need something, and when we will return. GENIUS.
This is a sheet with a years worth of birthdays to help me keep track!
This is a medical section. It houses our medical info about everyone, our pharmacy and prescription info, a permission to treat minors sheet (with our signatures and info), and their immunization records.
This is my calendar. I am still going to use Google Calendar for my main stuff. B likes to be able to look at my work schedule and such. I like having it here too though. I can see my workout plan and what is happening without getting on the net.
This back section will be our new address book. I can never find addresses when I need to send something and I am SICK of it. Situation remedied. PLEASE send me your full address and phone numbers by email so I can add them. hillaryfsmith@gmail.com
Since I took pics I have added a section for my workout schedules- the gym class schedule and the boxing place schedule with the pool schedule. Also some training plans. I know, psycho. I'm sure this whole thing will evolve.

I am SO RIDICULOUSLY excited. It's really absurd. B is impressed. I am trying to get Mira to make me a cover sheet, but she is lazy. I am just so stoked to have things in one place. I also had B put a nail in the wall and got a new clipboard to house my menu so it's not laying around on the counter. It's FANTASTIC.

It's a great day to be alive!!

We discovered early that it snowed! The kids were DYING to get out in it. We had to wait until Sully took his morning nap and then they were READY! We got all suited up and went out!
Playing with loaders while I scooped the drive.

Made some sheds for the trains.
There are the little sheds. He's so easy to please.

Eating snow off her glove.
Snow Angel!
My big man.
Our snowman. Hat and scarf courtesy of Cousin Marian!
Then this afternoon we made some Valentines Treats! Crispy rice chex cereal with fruity marshmallows cut into hearts.
And dipped in white chocolate and covered with sprinkles!
YUM!!!

Outside

Last week we had some super warm days. We were outside for 2 hours one day. Sully thought he was big big stuff. Mira had him on every single toy we have pushing him around.
Look how big he is!
Note no shoes- neither of the big kids had shoes on. They are SO my kids.
Sully thought he was big stuff going all these places. He loves being outside. It's going to be a great summer!
We took him on a ride around the big circle and he was really good!! I can't wait until we can be out more often.

Ma ma ma ma ma

So just this last week Sully finally started making the "mmmmmm" sounds. Sometimes he'll just crawl around saying "ma ma ma ma." I have to admit, I'm eating it up. He's so cute!

Lately

This kid is so attached to his star blankie it's hilarious. He tries to drag it around everywhere. It makes him smile to see it. He chews on it constantly. So cute.
He is a great eater! Right now we are doing purees of veggies and fruits and yogurt twice a day. I've recently started giving him a "snack" of some more realish food for lunch. He doesn't like picking stuff up by himself. If I put it in his mouth he will open wide for it. So lazy! He's had broccoli, cauliflower, chicken, mashed potatoes, waffles, green beans, pasta, black beans, and a few other things. He loves to eat! YAY!
Mira is pushing him all around today in the baby stroller.
The cousins came over for a few hours the other night. Here they are eating dinner.
Sully loves to play with G- if only G wasn't so passive aggressive with him. He'll lay on his back so he can't crawl, lay right in front of him so he can't get by, take stuff away from him, etc. It's so annoying. When S sees G get out the cars or trains he beelines for him and loves to play with all of his stuff.
Not a lot else is going on. I have decided to run the STJ half marathon in April so I have started training among other things. I went ahead and paid for one of my triathlons this summer already. I feel like I'm finally becoming myself again.
Brooks has started doing boxing with me! We went for the first time last night- I think B was a little taken aback at how hard it was! I'm glad he has found something exerciseish to do. It makes such a difference in the way I feel.
