Day out with Thomas!

I have 2 cameras- I keep on in my purse and one in the house, so sometimes I forget pictures until later. This was from the day of all the KC tornadoes when we hung out in the basement. I can see a HUGE difference in Sully's size.

We went to see Grandma Betty on Memorial day. They aren't the best pictures, but they're real pictures.

Yesterday we took the kids to Baldwin, KS for a Day out with Thomas. They have it every year. It was like a little fair. Lots of things to do. Here they are waiting for me.
Right after we got on the train. It was a 25 minute ride through the fields. Not overly stimulating but the kids seemed to enjoy.

Sullybear. SO HOT. I had him in the carrier to shield him from direct sun, and even though it's a really cool carrier I kept taking him out to let him air out. At least there was a breeze. I got lots of compliments on my baby...."girl or boy?" Yeah, he was called "such a pretty little girl" a few times. Oh well, he IS pretty.
B stood in line in direct sunlight with the kids for about 3o minutes to get to take a professional picture with Thomas on that little blue platform on the right. We were next and they say- "Thomas has to go - he'll be back in 25 mins!" I almost had to cuss them out. Screw that idea.

Griff was throwing a fit- he was so hot and tired. He doesn't sweat very well and gets overheated really easily. When we got home he was a little nauseas and complaining of a headache :( Poor red-headed boy.
Griff is in heaven with a new train table. He would have stayed here for HOURS. I had to promise him he could buy a new train to get him to leave.
Oh the way home! They were both exhausted but managed not to fall asleep until we were in KC. Of course.

Now, the heat was AWFUL. I felt completely miserable by the time we left....but I'm not complaining. I LOVE SUMMER. I would take it ANY day over a snow filled wintery day. However, the day could have been a lot more fun had it been just a tiny bit cooler! Thank goodness for the breeze!
