Now that Christmas is over we are in prepare for baby mode. B is going to move the computer over tomorrow and I need to get all the books onto the bookshelves. Mom and I are supposed to go shopping for the rest of the fabric for the baby stuff tomorrow, but her plane from Denver is already super delayed...we'll see if it happens or not. I need to get the rest of the boy stuff from Pepper and see what I still need to buy. We have a lot to do!

Christmas Take 2
Ok, so I have to get everything on here that I have because B is taking the computer over to Mike's tonight to revamp it. I'll DIE if he looses my pictures. These are a little of Christmas morning. Everyone woke up and played with Santa stuff and M slept until a little before 8 and then sat and drank her milk and took it all in...
Santa brought her a little M sized rocking chair- which she thinks is very fun to rock, but basically just uses it to climb onto other things...
Aunt Casey and Uncle Grant got her this cute little table and chairs. I can't wait to get her room rearranged...we are taking the big rocker out of her room and I'm going to put this little set in front of the windows and we have a bookshelf (that I still have to paint) to go in there against the wall. It'll be really cute.
B and I got her the little people house- she thought it was fun to stand on. She also likes to stick her legs through the windows and doors...whatever...
Then we put her in the box.
Not sure why this is blurry, but Grandpa FINALLY finished her toybox! It's beautiful!!! It looks really pretty downstairs. The girls had a good time climbing in and out of it.
We tried for a picture...but someone was pretty busy at that point.

My little dude is growing more each day. Here is 30 1/2 weeks...only 9 or 10 more to go! I'm starting to get slightly panicked over having to share my time with Mira. I know she's going to have a hard time adjusting as she has recently started demanding to be held and paid attention to. Things will work out, I'm just starting to realize that this is happening sooner rather than later. I'm also starting to feel the thighs spread and the cheeks and the double chin coming on :( I am feeling huge. I have started going to the gym a few times a week, but it's so hard to really work out. Hopefully it's helping a little anyway. I can still wear my wedding ring, so that's a good sign. The picture actually doesn't look as bad as I feel. I didn't take pics with M's pregnancy so I can't compare, I just have the scale numbers! My mother in law didn't help with all her cookies and brownies! I can't control myself!!! Well, I think that's it for now!! I have to work the next three days- woohoo. Happy New Year!

Christmas
Christmas picture 2007- The Smith's (almost!)

Well, I did a piss poor job of taking pictures in Texas, or so I felt. I really should have taken some video, but I was lazy lazy lazy. I'm terrified to get weighed either tomorrow or next week. Lana killed us with the cooking! The kids opened at least one present every day- the amount of gifts was slightly nauseating (this picture was actually taken BEFORE the majority of the gifts were wrapped). They had a good time. Mira LOVED the rocking horse- it was Grandpa David's when he was little, so well loved. This weekend she discovered screaming in delight. It's hilarious. She'd get on the horse, start rocking, and start screaming with fun.
Hey- I'm in this bag! What a great present!
She absolutely loves climbing on couches. She was attacking Carly early in the morning. She just laughs and laughs. She has now learned that if she drags something over to the couch she can stand on it and get up there. WAY too smart...
Here are M and Reece playing with the fish game- M loved to chew on the fishes and then put them back in the holes. She's really good and putting things inside other things. Lana had this little box that she kept putting a toy car in, then shaking it, getting the car out, and starting all over.
I love pictures of her running. SO SWEET!
M and da da as she would say. She has now progressed from DA to dada. Great. She only says mama when I make her. She reaches up to me and I say, "What do you say?" and she says, "mama!" That's it. I still don't think it really means anything to her.
We were able to play outside quite a bit- it was near 60!
With Uncle Kellen.
Here's an example of her new climbing skills.
B and I gave M this cookie jar that you put the shapes in the side of. She played with it nonstop for about 20 mins. This was the first time I actually saw jealousy. She kept taking it away when Reece would grab it and scream! Uh oh- it's coming!
This post is getting a little overwhelming and M's patience is done...so more later.

An Early Present
Alright- this is all you'll get until next Thursday so hopefully it's enough! The other day we decided to give M her Christmas present from us because we are going to Texas and we couldn't bring it with us- we already know we have to bring back a chair and toy box- not sure how we're getting those home either! So it didn't make sense to bring something big and bring it back. We thought it would be better to give it to her early rather than late because after xmas she'll have plenty of new stuff. Here are the pics. (By the way- isn't that the cutest sweater?!)
She really didn't understand opening it up- she ripped a piece or two but got very disinterested.
She helped dad put it all together!!
A pic from today- M really didn't want to take one, so it's not very good. I got her dressed and fed her breakfast and then B watched her while I went and got ready. When I came downstairs he started making fun of me because we were wearing the same thing! Woops! I guess I was in a pink mood today.
Baby boy- just as stubborn as his sister...
Here's some pics from our ultrasound today- you can see his legs directly in front of his face and his feet on top of his head. He slept the entire time- just like M did, but we got a lot better pictures I thought. Oh- he's definitely a boy!
A side view of that shot- legs on the right, face to the left upper.
A top view of the shot- you can count his toes! The round thing under his big toe is his head! Crazy.
Such a sweet face. I really think he looks a lot like M.
I didn't post more of these because Molly told me last time she thought the black and whites were easier to see on line. Just another 1/2 face.
I can't believe how much I love them after we have a 3d...it's totally expensive and our kids don't really seem to like it as they sleep the whole time- but it's so real! I simply cannot wait to kiss his cheeks. I am getting really excited about having a boy. So precious. Anyhow, for those of you who only care about Mira- I'm hoping to put up some pics of her later :) I'll try and get that done before I work tomorrow and friday and we leave Sat for Texas!

Expressions
I know, two posts in one day- EAT IT UP! heh. M has so many expressions- she's full of them! Here are just a few. I love her face. She is very funny- giggles all the time now. She loves to be chased- she thinks it's hilarious when you catch her!
She wore this cute sweater I got her at Children's Place today. It was so cute!! Here she was going up the stairs and then she saw me with the camera and came running to get it.
She thought this was pretty funny. She'll try and go as fast as she can up (or down) until you catch her.
Christmas Sunday
So yesterday we skipped church...like heathens. I am feeling really bad about it because we're out of town next week and the week after I have to work, but what's done is done- I have been so tired lately and M has been really wanting her morning nap, so I put her down at 9:30 and went back to bed myself. We didn't wake up until after 11. Woops. In the afternoon we went to St Joseph for a short Christmas with Grandma Betty, Mom, and Aunt Ann who brought Todd and Missy's kids Murphy and Max. Max and M are about 3-4 weeks apart. In this picture his head looks huge next to hers! Really they aren't too different in size- just a boy and a girl difference.

M shared her crackas. Max doesn't eat Golfish- he wasn't too sure about those but he liked to play with them.
They went in the other room and Max started telling stories in front of the fireplace. It was pretty funny.
Last night we went to Toys-R-Us to buy the rest of the christmas stuff for our nieces and nephew and for M. We got her a few things. Her big present we won't take to Texas with us, so we had to get two other things- one from Santa and one from us so the cousins don't get too suspicious! We thought about telling them M was bad so Santa didn't bring her anything, but that wouldn't have been nice, eh?

A few shots
Today we have pictures. I am getting ready to take M shopping for a few things. I have a couple more gifts to buy and I want to get it out of the way. Hopefully she'll take a good nap for me this morning and be in an ok mood for her pictures. This is what she does in there when she's decided not to sleep.
Tomorrow we may do Christmas with my grandma and mom. I have worked 4 days this week and I'm really tired. I feel like I missed her so much! She just changes so fast and gets older right before my eyes. She's so darned big!! B and I were talking last night about how it's really easy to spoil her- she has a fake cry when she wants something. I have a hard time not spoiling her right now because I know soon I won't be able to. Everything still straight to the mouth!
Here she is this morning playing with her Rudolph. I would love to get a video of her dancing too it, but she won't do it for the camera. She is now obsessed with the Old McDonald book- she sings Ee-ii-ee-ii all the time. She hasn't attached the "oh" yet. It'll come I'm sure.

Updates
Well, I apologize for the lack of pictures, but I am just too tired to go downstairs and get the camera...which lately I have been too tired to come upstairs to get and take pics of M. Sorry! Lately we've been spending every last moment trying to get all of our Christmas shopping done and keep up with the laundry and such. We still have a few things to get. M has sat on Santa's lap twice now and she seems to really like him.
She can say Santa but only if you prompt her. We had our 12 month check up today- she got 2 shots and did great! She weighs 19lbs 4oz- pretty small for a 1 year old, but she's crazy long. I forgot to ask for the percentiles, but I'll check on it. I've decided I like her small like she is, so I'm not going to worry about it! She's been healthy for a couple of weeks now (except for diaper rash) which is amazing! The dr told me that they only look for 3 words at the 15 month check up- M has way more than that, so we are ahead of the game.
She has been giggling more and more- it's so cute!! Tonight she sat on my lap for about 5 mins!!! while I sang and read Old McDonald to her- we read it 3 times through and the last time she actually sang/said ee-i-ee-i-oh! NO WAY! It was really cute- B and I looked at each other like, WHAT?! I tried to get a video today of her dancing to her singing Elmo but she kept getting shy when I pointed the camera at her. I guess that's about all that's new. I'm tired...have to work tomorrow and Friday. 1 year pictures are Saturday- mom and I got her the BEST outfit to wear! I can't wait!

A Terrifying Confession
Well, most of you won't think it's terrifying...just normal. But for me it's AWFUL! So when M was sick a week or two ago she got put on an antibiotic and of course a couple of days later her butt was completely broken down and weeping- yes...this was to be expected. So I of course have had her in disposable paper diapers for the last almost 2 weeks. Well the other day I actually had the thought- gosh, I should just keep her in these- they fit under clothes better, no washing, no stinky pail sitting around, easier when we go somewhere because I don't have to change as much, so much easier. Except the trash smells AWFUL and I am not used to this. Plus, I can put cream on her butt whenever I want to. I had just purchased an amazingly expensive and beautiful night time solution and 4 fleece covers (which are nearly too small, dangit). So I knew this wasn't really an option...Then I thought- ARE YOU CRAZY!? What is wrong with you??? Of all the reasons we cloth diaper the biggest is because of the amazing amount of NONbiodegradable trash diapers create. I just can't do it! At least not full time. So last night, even though I didn't want to, I put her in cloth again. And of course, I felt really good about her squishy butt and knowing how much more comfy she must be with her bum able to breathe all night. Her butt looks great this morning and we're back in cloth full time. Here's one of the new fleece covers I bought. How on earth did I even consider not using it?!

Shortly after I took this pic she ran into the wall and lost it. She's sleeping now. Sucks to have to look and see where you're going. It's snowing pretty good here- M stood at the window and watched it for several minutes this morning. She's so funny. She's starting to eat better these days- still acting pretty picky and some days are better than others- but there's improvement I just know it!
I've gotten most of my Christmas shopping finished thank goodness. I think I have to wait until we get paid again to finish up!!! NO CREDIT! That's the goal. We still don't really know what to get M. She loves pretty much all toys, so it really doesn't matter. I can't believe it'll be Christmas in less than 3 weeks! AH!
Oh- here's a link to the baby furniture we bought in the black color (midnight). We got the dresser on the right with the hutch on the left and the crib. The dresser on the left was weird demensions...B is supposed to pick up the dresser tonight.

Just three weeks
Thought this was interesting- almost 28 weeks so I guess it's probably been three and a half weeks (and 6 lbs)- but what a difference (see November 10)! I'm terrified this one is going to be huge...
M and I just got back from xmas shopping all day. We left around 945 and got back around 3. We went to USA baby first and bought some baby furniture with B- much needed soon. I'm far from being finished, but a good start. Pepper is going to watch her tomorrow while I finish so she doesn't have to suffer again. She did pretty well- ate a lot of "crackas." She sat on Santa's lap and didn't care at all!! It's pretty cute. She's glad to be home though...
More of the weekend
We went to church Sunday- M was so cute!!
She was so worn out when we got home that she actually stayed asleep after I got her out of her carseat and laid on the couch for about 45 mins!! I thought it rude to put her in her crib when everyone was there just to see her!
Random pic of her laying back having some water.
We went to Grant and Casey's for a couple of christmas pics for B's mom- I thought this one was pretty funny. The picture session was a disaster of course with all the kids, but oh well. This year's going to be interesting.
I am reminded that once the boy can move around, I'm probably done with good pics for a few years...
