Since I don't take pictures I'll at least update you, I guess....I'm not sure how much Sully has grown in the past couple of weeks. I started getting worried because he slowed down drastically when I returned to work, but I think he's doing better. I've been busy on Wed's so I haven't gotten to take him to breastfeeding group. He is doing better at Pepper's and when I'm gone. This weekend he took 14-15 ounces each day!! He is still rather fussy most of the time, but I have decided it's just his personality. He requires constant attention. He will roll from front to back and play for short periods now. I am praying there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I am going to seriously try and schedule him- the others just went with the flow, but I think Sully is going to need the routine of it.

I am really struggling with being productive at home. I have been logging Sully's day this week to see if I can find any pattern in his napping. Not so much. Yesterday was pretty good with 2 longerish naps and 2 short ones.....today he has been up an hour, asleep an hour, up an hour, asleep an hour, and so on. I've been letting him fuss for awhile when he wakes up after only a short time to see if he'll go back to sleep. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. It's super hard to get anything done at all when he requires such constant attention/holding and sleeps for such short periods.

Nights have become awful, for whatever reason. He's getting up at least twice a night again. It honestly wouldn't be that bad, except that for WEEKS he slept through the night or at least close to it. So now getting up with him is sheer torture, I feel like a zombie all day long, and I have barely any patience with the big kids. I am very thankful there are 2 of them so close in age now and that they can entertain each other so well. Some days are better than others, but lots of the time they will play.

I think I have given up on doing my triathlon in September. There just isn't any way. My running IS improving drastically though. It still feels really awful, but I am at least able to do it. I really don't have any time to truly train for this race with Sully being so young and needy. I can't take him to the gym with me until he is 6 months old. I am glad I at least TRIED to get in shape for it, though, because it has motivated me to not be lazy and fat forever. My goal is for at least 2 races next year. Surely by then I'll be able to, and hopefully also able to loose a few lbs.

Not too much else is going on. We are planning to take the kids to St. Louis for a couple of nights on Labor Day weekend to go to the zoo and just get away. I'm hoping there will be good weather. The kids start school the week after that. I think we are all excited for that! They really need something to do besides watch TV and sit around home. It will be nice for them to have that routine.

Three Months

today is our 3 month birthday. I can't believe how fast it's flying. Getting easier every day.

We discovered that he's much more content at dinner if we put him in his highchair. So now he sits at the table with us....which is a HUGE distraction for the big kids, but oh well....
Mira loves to entertain him and talk to him. It keeps him occupied for quite awhile. Awesome.

Hmmm....a sign!
So happy this morning!
Love his sweet face.
I can't get over how sweet and cute he is.
I think this picture of him is so handsome.

Found it!

Finally found my camera I was missing!!! 2 weeks ago we went to Saint Joe to swim with a friend and her kiddos at their grandma's house. They have a slide and a diving board and the kids LOVE it. Both of them were going down the slide and jumping off the dive by themselves!!! Awesome.

(Sully stayed at Pepper's for his bottle bootcamp)

12 weeks

I am not good at taking pictures. I remember feeling this way with G too- it seems like we do a lot of the same things and so every pic would seem the same. I also take a lot of pictures on my phone which I haven't uploaded to the computer, so that cuts into my pics I guess. I am currently missing one of my cameras!

Things are going well here. Sully has started sleeping through the night from usually 9 pm to 6 am or after! I say that after he woke up at 3 am last night, but it was the first night in quite awhile. It's pretty awesome to have him sleep. He then has started the habit of sleeping until 10 am. It's crazy!!! He sleeps til then, grabs a catnap or two after that and then takes a longer late afternoon nap for about 1-3 hours depending. I am really hoping he will stay a good napper like Griffy. He is weighing 12 lbs 1 oz now. He is still refusing the bottle most of the time which is cutting into his growth pattern, I'm afraid. I started work on Tuesday which went great for me, but in the time I was gone- 630 am - 8 pm he took 6 ounces. Yikes! Hopefully that will improve.

He's becoming super cute. He does have periods of play now instead of just screaming, but still mostly wants to be held. He is VERY demanding about attention. He'll be just fine when you put him in the bouncer to make dinner, but if you turn away from him for too long he'll scream until you start talking to him again. He HATES to be ignored....uhhh...Mira? He loves to smile and talk to you and he blows raspberries constantly- which results in a soaking wet shirt often times. He can roll from his tummy to his back- not frequently, but sometimes I'll go into get him from a nap and he'll be on his back- and PISSED about it. He loves to sit upright. He wants to be totally upright. It's hard because his neck gets tired quickly, but he loves the bumbo. I'd like to get him another chair that will sit up but give him some head support.

That's about all for now. I'm ready for the kids to start school now so Mira will be more intellectually stimulated. I'm certainly not ready for winter though. The hot hot weather has been draining, but I'd take it ANY day over the subzero stuff. We've been to oceans of fun a few times and we need to go some more!!! Hopefully August will allow us to do so. I'd like to be able to take Sully and not get a babysitter, but it's just been too hot for him.
