Park Fun

I am always scoping out new parks. The thing that sucks about this area is that there are tons of little parks, but none of them stand out as the best. They're all missing something :( I saw this one off the road at a little church. It was a lot of fun! The only bad thing was that it was pea gravel and I'm sure G would have had a hay day eating it had he been awake!
All the kids- we met Pepper, Sloan and Sawyer at the park and Grandma Lana brought Reese.
So her hair does actually grow, but not very fast and not very well. It looks pretty long here.
These girls are BEST friends. It's adorable. They love to play and talk about each other, and they love to fight!
I think this picture of her face is gorgeous.
Once a climber, always a climber.
We played in the yard before we left for the park. It was a GREAT day! G had a good time but was a little fussy and mad that I wouldn't put him down for a nap. He slept the entire time we were at the park.
He got to ride in his big boy car seat for the first time yesterday. He'll still fit in the infant seat for awhile, but I know it's time to switch him over. We switched M over at about 7 mos. I'm mourning the loss of my G containment though. Now I'll have to chase after 2 of them in the store! We went to Hyvee after we left the park to get some milk (that we didn't need I found out when we got home) and I put G in the front of the cart and M got to ride in the basket....not good. I had to yell at her to sit down a million times. Oh well, I guess I knew it was coming... My man with his blankie. B hates that he loves it but he does. He loves it just as much as M loves hers. It's so cute. He cuddles it and carries it everywhere. If he's crying he starts giggling and smiling when he sees it. Someone from my diaper boards sent me a brand new one for free- SO NICE. They don't sell it anymore :(

And on my model

I think next time I will use the large pattern. I think this diaper is what we in the cloth diaper world would call "night worthy" as it's pretty stinkin absorbent. Not exactly what I was going for, but definitely nice.
Fits him pretty well- the tabs just aren't as stretchy as I wanted.
I'd say he likes it.

Nothing much

Tonight I enjoyed 2 of my loves at the same time- sewing and diapers. I made these 2 fitted diapers. The one on the right was my first attempt and it didn't turn out great- the elastic is really loose, but it's still functional. I think they are awesome. I can't wait to get them on his tush tomorrow!

Me and my babies- a rare picture.
B took the kids to Red Robin last night- today they played with the balloons all morning. G had a great time! Look mom! I can stand on one foot! G walks/runs everywhere now- hardly ever crawls. He stoops to get things and is really steady. He has a great back arch and sticks his little butt out. It's pretty cute.
G is doing ok eating wise. Still nothing solid but he's eating 3 meals a day of baby food more consistently. Sometimes it's a struggle, but usually we can get 1/2 - 1 jar of food down him before he starts screaming and shaking his head.
So sweet. How can you punish him?

Weight Check

So we had an appt with our new Pediatrician yesterday. G is up to 17 lbs 14 oz! That's about 5 oz a week which is HUGE for a 1 year old (especially one who's almost running)! She's pleased with how he's doing and stated, "Well, developmentally he's WAY ahead." YAY! So we just need to keep working on eating real food! I haven't heard from the therapy clinic yet. I feel like G is about at a 5-6 month old place with solid food. He's still getting used to textures and won't really eat anything with any solid texture to it. Last night we went out to eat and he nibbled on a cracker, but that's about as far as it goes. I know he'll get there at one time or another, I just wish it was sooner rather than later!

Showing off

Everyone is so snotty. Thank God for Benadryl! Here's my snotty, but pleasant, guy. Self portrait of me and M.
M doing something random on the fireplace last week.
Here's a little clip of G's talents. He started standing up in the middle of the floor by himself last week!

Background Worthy

I forgot to post this picture last night....Molly-this one is definitely background worthy. So cute.
I hope you're enjoying the crazy amount of posts this week- it's so much easier to do now that the computer is downstairs!

G videos

This is random but you can really hear his giggles. So cute. He thinks playing peekaboo is hilarious!

Valentines Fun!

So after nap we went to Bonner Springs to my friend Ryanne's house to decorate the most delicious heart cookies on earth! Here are the big kids painting the icing on (well, Macy was just eating the icing...). They all seemed to have a pretty good time with it.
M plaing with the sprinkles.

Painting away.
G played with cars and things while we painted.
We stayed and played for awhile afterward and ordered pizza. M thought this little rocket car was a lot of fun!
G LOVED this little block holder/pusher. I think I'm going to get it for him for his birthday.

Happy Valentines Day everyone!!!

Tag Team Thursday

We are in the midst of a busy day. This morning we had play group with some friends from High School- it was a lot of fun! Our kids are all pretty close in age and they played well. We then came home, shoved down some lunch, jumped in bed for a nap, and are getting ready to go make V-day cookies with some work girls. Sounds like M is up so I better hurry!
Just some cute pics of G while we wait.
Such expressions!
Bath fun- G thought he was big time in the big tub. Don't worry- I was in there with them.
So cute!
Princess Tinkerbell. She thought she was pretty special in this little costume she got from aunt Casey.

Project Laundry Room

So I have come to discover this week that I have been seriously sick for about a month or more now. I was actually beginning to wonder if I had cancer or some immune disorder. I have been so exhausted constantly. I wasn't able to make it through my day without taking a 2 hour nap with Mira. Well- after 3 days of antibiotics I am certainly not feeling normal, but I am definitely on the mend with a noticeable difference. I can't believe how much you can accomplish when the kids are sleeping and YOU are NOT! It's crazy!

B and I both HATE the laundry room- it's been the catch-all and sometimes even looks worse than this. Yikes- I know. I decided to take it on today and it only took about 30 minutes! Crazy!
B and his dad built these shelves for me around the time G was born to help with the clutter issue....as you can see- it wasn't being used very effectively! We keep a lot of M's crafts and puzzles here- she has to ask if she wants to get them out. We also keep extra baby food, formula, paper sacks, and some other junk. My shelves above the washer and dryer were also piled with junk. Rags, detergents, random cleaners that aren't used very often, etc. The washer and dryer are a perfect place to throw stuff you don't want to find a place for.The drying rack also serves as a good place to throw things- dirty towels, clean shirts, etc.Finished:
It was SO EASY! We actually have TONS of room in there! Top shelf: M's crafts, colors, puzzles and such.
Second shelf: G's extra food and formula, extra sippys and bottle nipples, playdough.
Third Shelf: Paper Sacks, BIG color books, Pull ups, Kleenex.
Bottom Shelf: Extra Bags, duster things, etc.
I keep a bag (supposed to be hanging but previously on the floor) to throw dirty dish towels and bibs in until I get enough for a load. I have some weird OCD issue about washing dish towels with my clothes...Now I feel tired....heh.

Uh Oh.....

He's so smart.....

Holy Crap- add another thing to the list...

Yep- I woke up with PINK EYE this morning. Sheesh. Now I have a horrid sinus infection AND pink eye. Woohoo! Anyone got any germs they want to try out on some
one?? I can take it! I did go to the doctor today and I got some eye drops and an antibiotic. I plan on being better by Wed. We'll see how it goes.M got a new carseat last week so we can put G in the Marathon. I highly recommend this seat for forward facing kids. It's the Graco Nautilus. Graco has really done good with this seat- I would NEVER have bought a Graco convertible or booster before this one. It's awesome. The more I use it the more I fall in love with it!
G is walking everywhere now. It's pretty stinkin' cute. I have some videos but I'm too lazy to upload them. You should feel lucky for the pictures. M thinks it's hilarious to read a magazine on her potty.
