Well, we're here. It's cool and cloudy. By cool I mean, 57. Boohoo, right?? Well, this is what we woke up to (the view from our bedroom). Looks terrible! Seems we should have come next week when it'll be sunny, but all I really needed was warm, it seems.
Look a little closer- YEP! That's the ocean....just feet away. I walked down there this morning and it's quite close. Let me also mention that sleeping with the door open and the surf crashing is WAY better than a box fan!
We got here about 8 or so and found a cute Italian place to eat. It was a sports bar/Italian restaurant- we got to watch the KU/KSU game so B was in heaven. Poor KSU. Bummer.We don't have any plans for the day. I ate some breakfast so in awhile I'll go for a run and check out the area. It looks pretty flat and sleepy. The town was DEAD last night and we kept having to remind ourselves that it was Saturday night. Tomorrow we are going to head across state to Cape Canaveral and then stay in Orlando and go to Sea World on Tuesday. Hopefully it won't rain on us too much.
