A Busy Weekend

The fourth was fun. David and Lana were here looking for a house. We are looking forward to them moving home finally at the end of August! M still can't say grandma- she says "MahGah." It's pretty cute. I think my mom is annoyed by this, but I love it. It's really the only thing that she can't quite get right. She seemed ashamed of it for awhile and knew she couldn't do it right, but I've been trying to make her feel comfortable about it- it's the only thing she can say, so why make her feel bad about it?! So she says it more now.

The 4th was CRAZY here. Our suburbian neighborhood turned into world war 3 with fireworks coming from every direction. M hadn't slept much and she was exhausted and terrified at all the noise, so I ended up putting her to bed around 9:30 before there was too much. She really had a hard weekend from over-exhaustion. The 5th was my birthday so we had a little cook out party. Nothing much. The girls got to spend a lot of time together this weekend and now they're having difficulties with separation!

Trying to eat at the table...I ended up having to move M to her high chair though because she couldn't sit still.

Best friends...naked!

Reese and M have become best friends. They both talk about each other CONSTANTLY when they're apart. It's really pretty cute. They are actually starting to play together- they chase each other and copy each other. They laugh and laugh.

At this point things were still going ok. The really loud stuff hadn't started yet. And yes...those are water wings. She refused to take them off.

I had to work yesterday so here are a few pics B took of the kids playing.
Saturday was my last weekend day off for the year (I do have two weekends of vacation I can take though). Kinda sad to go out with so much fun...it made me question our decision a little bit.

G prefers to play on his tummy. I figure he'll probably crawl early....great.
