A Really Good Day

So I know you'll all be glad to hear that today I feel like I have regained control of my daughter. She has returned to her old happy self. She is not crying every time she doesn't get what she wants, she's happy, agreeable, and fun to be with. All day yesterday I tried to talk myself into working today, and man, I can't express how glad I am that I didn't. I have really not wanted to be around her much lately as she has been so trying. It's a horrible feeling, but one I've had just the same.
Today she woke up at 6:45 as she's been doing earlier and earlier lately for some reason... She ate oatmeal for breakfast- I really wasn't sure how the day would pan out at this point. She wanted to eat it herself and would scream every time I touched the spoon...but by the time breakfast was over she ate all but the scrapings at the bottom of the bowl. GREAT! She was pleasant all morning and then took a nap from about 10-11:15- enough time for me to take a shower and get ready. I had a really crazy idea that it would be a good idea to take her out today...I'm not sure why as this has not been a pleasant experience for WEEKS, but I just wanted to get out with her today. We went to Panera (previously an awful experience). I got her a grilled cheese and SHE ATE IT! AH! Happily even!!! She sat there and looked around, smiled and giggled and ate her lunch. WOW! What an exciting experience. Then we went to JC Penney- we didn't find what we were looking for so then headed to BabiesRUs....got a couple of things and then headed home. It was such a pleasure to be out with her today. I feel like my child has returned to her body. I know that this is probably just a good day out of the blue and won't happen again for a long time, but my spirit really needed it. These are the things that make me love being M's mother...
Oh- she found the Moses basket in lil bro's room...she kept grabbing the blankets, laying down and saying night night. It was pretty cute. Now- it's not even 4pm and the day can go downhill quickly- which is exactly why I decided to post this NOW.
