FINALLY!
We finally have cable and internet! YAY! I can resume my blogging tasks and online shopping (don't tell Brooks about the latter). We are moved...completely. We closed on the old house today. Friday of last week Brooks's dad came in town and we spent the day finishing up the cleaning and then the movers came on Saturday afternoon. It was a hectic day and night. That night a bunch of friends and family came over and we relaxed and had a few beers. Here's Mira taking a ride in Caden's Radio Fyler wagon- she's almost big enough.
Mira likes to play in her high chair while we are getting things done. she's pretty good- I think it's because she can keep an eye on us. She's been pretty fussy this week with a cold and trying to get some teeth. I think it's getting better.
Sunday afternoon we got Mira's pool out for the first time and put her swim suit on. She loved the water! She just wanted to lay in it. Just like bath time I suppose. Look at this Gymboree suit- it's 3-6 months so she's just barely fitting into it, but it's so so cute.

Just an FYI- we have moved!! However, Time Warner Cable screwed up the hook up date- so we have no cable, phone or internet until Friday. There are some VERY cute pictures I will post this coming week, but you'll have to wait for now!! Mira is doing well- she took her first swim in her baby pool and loved it. She hasn't been feeling too well- a cold and teething all at the same time, she just wants to be held right now. There are worse things, eh? Updates to come next week...

Go Mudcats!
Ok, I know last time I said "tomorrow" but lying doesn't always hurt eh? Things have been crazy. Yesterday I worked 12 hours and then came home, gave Mira a bath, gave Mira a bottle, put Mira to bed, put away a load of laundry, packed a box, and hit the sack. Awful. A little later I'm going to take some hanging clothes over to the new house. Mira and I are playing right now. Well, Mira is playing anyway.
Here are some more pictures of our trip to NC. Uncle Benny got a new hat at the Mall- I thought it was pretty fun to play with.

These are some pictures of Mira's first baseball game. She enjoyed it very much- we had an air conditioned suite to ourselves. Nice! North Carolina Mudcats- Minor league. She got to stay up super late- but just like a little angel still slept all night!
I took a nap with Mommy's friend Sara- there was a long rain delay and the game was about 2 hours late starting, so it got really late!
Hey, get this thing off me!

We were up really high!

North Carolina
Well, our lives are basically a mess right now. Mira, mom, and grandma went to North Carolina (Raleigh) to see aunt Molly and Uncle Benjamin this weekend. Dad stayed home to work on the house which we are moving into this next weekend....Uncle Grant took our old fridge last week, so we have no fridge at the house we are currently occupying. It's not very fun right now. BUT- we did have a fun weekend. Since I don't expect to get many pics taken this week, I'll spread out our trip over the next few days.
We arrived on Friday morning around 10:30. We flew Express Jet the new airline which started out to be a disaster when they lost our reservation, but when we got on the flight finally, Mira was happy and it was good. We got a really good breakfast while flying! We arrived safe and sound. Aunt Molly picked us up and we went to their house. We pretty much sat around and played all day.
Mira loves to talk to Uncle Benjamin.
Aunt Molly was pretty fun too.
The air conditioning broke and it was REALLY REALLY HOT!! I had to take a nap with my diaper on only to stay cool.
Great grandma Betty's cat lives in North Carolina now with one of Aunt Molly's friends, Amy. We went to see her. I loved to pull her hair and pet her. She's really soft and she purred and purred.
There was a dog Rocko there too who liked to lick my face. After that we went to the Mudcats game- I'll fill you in tomorrow.

Exercise
Things have been amazingly crazy around here lately. Mira has been handling it beautifully, of course. We are trying to pack up around here, but try to get things painted and ready at the new house. Move day is May 19th. This weekend Mira, Grandma and mom are going to see Aunt Molly and Uncle Benjamin in North Carolina. It will be fun, but it's certainly adding stress to be gone this weekend with so much to do!! Mira loves loves loves to scream now. She's entertained if you squeal at her and then she'll do it back. Cloth diapering is going GREAT! I love it so much. It's so so easy. I recommend it to anyone!
Well I just found out that we are loosing our current refrigerator this weekend, so we'll be living here with just a little garage fridge and a deep freeze for a week until we move. Doesn't that sound fun? I think it'll be great. Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to never see that thing again, but I plan on gaining at least 5 lbs with all the fast food I'm sure we'll eat. Good thing we'll be gone until Monday. Well, that's all!

Teeth!
Another long one- I know I've been lax about posting lately, and when you only get to it once a week, there's a lot to say! Brooks is out of the hospital and doing just fine- we are actually getting somewhere with the new house now!
Mira has two teeth!! We started making sure to brush every night after bath. Look how good she fits in the sink!
She actually seems to like having her teeth brushed. She got the right bottom tooth first on the 3rd, and then the left one popped through today. They are SHARP! She really has done well with teething- no waking up at night, etc. Just a little orajel at times and things are good.
I couldn't resist this little picture- her face is just so precious.
Here's the Swaddlebee (I love the cute little name).
This is the only cloth we are using that is snaps only (no velcro). I like it because it's the trimmest fit, but also the least absorbent...but it does have a pocket to add more layers if you want. The other down side is it takes FOREVER to dry (nearly 2 hours). It'll probably get pretty annoying when she's really active at diaper change time to get all those snaps lined up. I couldn't be happier with my decision to cloth diaper. I've even got a friend trying it out! Ivory Snow has solved the laundry issue- it works much better! We also started using them at night too- no leaks at all with the bum genious one size!! It's bulky, but who cares- she's sleeping!
Speaking of sleep- she's getting quite creative with her position in her crib at night- you never know where she'll be when you go in there!
On a sadder note- our friend Landon was diagnosed this week with Cystic Fibrosis- we've told you about him before. He needs our good thoughts- at least they now have a reason for his ongoing problems. Check him out- he's a stud: www.caringbridge.org/visit/landondody
