Ants!

So a friend posted about this amazing ant farm she had called ant works. I knew the boys would love it (and I would too) so I couldn't resist. We got it and our ants didn't come :-( so after arguing with the company that no, they really didn't send them, they sent some. This is what it looked like after I dumped them in (and picked out the dead ones). 

The next day I though, what is that!? It's little gel pieces they had pulled away. They scrape away little pieces and take them up. They strategically place them where they want them. It's pretty awesome. 

Our ants are kinda boring and huddle down here a lot. 

I've seen pictures of ant works with way more tunnels, but it's ok. I still love them. 

And it lights up!!! 

Ants live 1-3 months. Then you can rinse it out with water and let it dry and order more ants! I assume you could probably only do this a time or two before you would need a new habitat. 

All in all this was the best purchase!!!!

This guy....

This guy has started to really play. He is all over the room already. He won't be 4 months for a week but is rolling and even up on all 4s. Ugh. I don't know what his hurry is! 

He grabs at toys and puts them in his mouth. He is also our first one to take a pacifier regularly! 

He's so conversational. He loves to chat and is fussy unless someone is talking to him. 

He is also our first one that doesn't sleep. He doesn't sleep for me during the day OR at night. He does, however, sleep for daddy. Lucky him. 

He brings me so much joy every single day. His smile is so sweet. 

Zoo

I took the boys to the zoo a couple of weeks ago. Sully loves animals so much and Harry ended up sleeping the entire time in the carrier. It was such a fun time

With friends! We need to do stuff more often. I recently finally found a used double Bob stroller on Craig's list so this was our first trip! It worked great!

The animals were out and we had a lot of fun! 

He's always posing saying, "take my picture mom!"

We love the new penguin exhibit! 

The boys are so cute together. Sully loves to talk to Harry and give him his "blinkie." (Pacifier) I'm not super adventurous about getting is out but it does always seem to go well when I do it! 

H is getting so big. He loves to be talked to. He will fuss and fuss and then when he sees you shine the biggest smile! 

He still loves being rocked to sleep which is just fine with me!

I saw a glimpse of some stranger anxiety from him tonight too!!! We love our baby Harry love bug!

Six!

G turned 6 last week! The Sunday before we had his family party at grandmas. On his actual birthday I got him a cookie cake and we ordered some pizza. 

Then just to drag it out we had his friend party this last Saturday! He had a blast with his buddies.

They were so cute together!

Sully had fun too haha!

Harry wasn't overly pleased with the hot air and loud noises.

Back to work!

Well last week was the last week of maternity leave for my lifetime. A sad milestone. I spent lots of time snuggling the littlest. 

We also got the report from genetics finally that our guy has clean DNA!!! Praise God! There are still a few things that could pop up but for now they think he's perfectly fine with special eyes! 

We found out that mira has a repeat fungal infection in that ear. Ugh. Our trip to ENT was less than fun. I was ready to sign her up for swim team. I guess not now :-(

My man is so sweet. He demands attention, but when he gets it he's so very cute. 

He missed his mommy this weekend but was a very good boy for daddy!!! We all survived and I was kinda glad to be back at work with my friends. 

We played quite a bit today and just hung out together. 

He's starting to grab for toys and play. Toooooooo fast :-( 

Park!

We had really nice weather in Colorado and Theresa took the big kids to the dog park both mornings. They had a lot of fun! 

This guy is just too big. He loves to sit up and look around. Where did my newbie go??? 

Sunday brooks and I went to Nebraska furniture Mart to check out the pres day sale. We found the perfect bunk beds for the boys. Griff was/is in love. 

They put them together that night.

It's been tough for Mira not getting to sleep in there. She knows she will get a room makeover, but waiting is hard. G sleeps great up top! 

Brooks sleeps on the bottom for now until Harrison is sleeping more consistently at night. Since he doesn't have a room I have to nurse him in our room at night. 

Trip!

Well we drove to Colorado last week for a Long weekend. It was a lot but a good trip. Pumping for a baby in a road trip is a whole new experience.....this is SOME of the stuff I needed. 10 pump bottles, 2 sets of pump sets, 3 large bottles, 3 thermoses, nipples for the bottles, 2 cooler bags, bibs, dish soap, medela wipes, bottle brush, the pump, rags, battery pack and car cord, sigh. It was a lot. 

Harry really did very very well. No extended crying and ate well in the car. 

Sully on the other hand had some really awful times....

We had a pretty lazy weekend. The kids had a. Last together. 

The first night was not good at all. Harry was up every couple hours but also sully. He woke up at 5 am too and would not go back to sleep for anything.

We took the kids to the railroad museum. 

Harry was a good boy. 

Sully kept running around saying, "this is fun, mom!"

We took a ride on this little train car thing. 

Then we went to a pizza place.

The kids got to make their own pizzas. Or rather Theresa got to make one for griffin! 

These girls had a great time together! 

Now this weekend it's back to work!!!!
