Hair cuts and check ups

I have always cut griffins hair. I hate it, but he refused the "hair cut store." So I really wanted to avoid cutting sullys simply because it sucks. Well, we took him to the salon once. And I had to redo it because it was so awful. Cue me cutting his hair now. 

Problem is he's afraid of the clippers so I have to do it by hand with scissors. Luckily his hair naturally lays nice so it doesn't have to be perfect for it to look nice. Required: bag of m&ms to keep still. But he sure is handsome. 

Lou got his checkup yesterday. He weighs 13 lbs.....a little heavy but not bad. He's a BIG cat. He was angry at me for awhile. They didn't check his urine. They said it would seem obvious if he were having problems. So, good for our louboy! 

We do so love him. 

Swim swim and more swim!!!

We have been swimming nearly every possible day lately. Yesterday we went to saint joe to visit one of my oldest and bestest friends Andrea. She has an awesome set up!! The kids had a BLAST swimming. 

Sully showed off his cutes. 

And jumped in to Mira tons. 

Griffy swam across the pool a million times and back. 

Sully sunned himself. Haha

He promptly fell asleep when we left!!! 

Today we are just chillin. We are tired. We haven't had a day just at home lately.

Not much

Not too much happening here, just typical summer stuff. Monday mom and I took everyone to oceans of fun. They had a great time. Tuesday and thurs g had swim lessons so we stayed and swam. I think fairly soon I'm going to be sick of living in a swim suit! The kids went to spectrum station with sully on weds. They got to go to coco keys water park. They are living the life! 

We've been struggling with some attitude issues with griffin lately. I'm not really sure where to start with it because consistency isn't really doing the job. I'm hoping its just a phase because it's quite a rough one. 

A WOF evening!

Well I slept a few hours today, got up and went grocery shopping and then we headed to WOF. They had a blast! We closed it down! 

Sulls is obsessed with yellow. He loves yellow everything! 

He was so cute on the bus. 

Griffy needed in on the action! 

We saw the dinosaurs. Mira and brooks ride a lot if the bigger rides while the boys and I hung out. We are a horrible amusement park dinner. 

It was fun!! And perfect weather! 

The babe and I did a lot of this.....(21weeks). 

'twas a blast! I know a lot of people think me going to work weekend nights was weird and awful and I tell you this is why. Because I can work weekends, get paid for weekends, stay home all week, and still have a family day every Sunday. The only thing that's a downfall is church. I haven't been good about staying up for church. Is it possible? Totally! Fun? Nope. And I've been lazy. And Mira called it out today. Time to get serious. Sometimes I feel like I have to choose either church or an afternoon of fam time, but it's not true. I could do both. Just gotta be diligent. Will do. 

Summer finally!!!

I finally feel like it's summer for us. First school, then vacation, I'm looking forward to a few sunny and lazy weeks ahead. This week with bible school we were kinda limited but we made the best of it. Wednesday we visited the neighborhood pool and Thursday we FINALLY made it to oceans of fun. 

Can I just be clear that it is amazing how awesome it is that these 2 have each other. They hate each other plenty, but truly they are inseparable. 

They wait for each other and do a fairly good job of compromising. 

Sullsie didn't get to go this time. I wanted to take the 2 of them first to evaluate whether I thought all 3 would be possible. I think it will be fine but Mira may be limited in her slide adventures. 

Our church's bible schools ended up with over 500 kids this week between morning and afternoon sessions. Amazing. What an exhausting week!!!

Now I am laying in bed having Zero sleep success for tonight. Awesome. 

Bible school and a baby!

It's bible school week- the most exhausting week of the summer! The kids are having fun! 

The first night Mira had a freak out because they put her in the preschool program again to keep her with G and her friend addi. She has since recovered. 

We had our anatomy scan for the baby yesterday morning. It was weird for lots of reasons, but we will see what dr m says in a couple of weeks. It didn't seem nearly as in depth as what we usually have even though we were at the perinatologist instead of the radiologist, and we asked to not know gender, but one of the pics we ended up with looks a little like boy parts to me, though its not confirmed. He also tried to convince me to get monthly growth scans because sully was small. Just kinda weird. But all looked healthy and growing, so for now we are content. 

A successful vacation!

So we have never been good at taking a summer vacation and as the years pass it's bothering me more and more. How nice of mike and Theresa to move somewhere to allow us a vacation spot!! It has turned out to be a fun and successful trip! On our last day we didn't do much at all. Went swimming for several hours! 

Then I took the big kids to see monsters U. The movie was fantastic! All 3 kids were getting tired from the week catching up. Last night we had dinner and some birthday cake made by T. Soooooooo delicious. 

We were on the road by 6:09 this morning!!! We loose an hour coming home, and bible school starts tonight. Every time we stop it is apparent that today is a huge travel day. It takes forever to get anything! 

The kids are doing great so far! 3 hours to go. I'm ready to be home!
