I had this bright idea to take the kids to Omaha for spring break. I was going to take them by myself even if no one else wanted to go. That would have been a bad bad idea. Luckily my mother in law went.
Harry did not sleep....AT ALL the first night. He slept for 20 min periods inbetween screaming so loud I had to bounce him like a newborn. A newborn like I will assuredly never have again. Seriously.
He is a tornado. The zoo was still very very fun even with no sleep!
We went all day and by the end our feet were spent!
Griff liked these jelly fish.
Harry just loves being outside. It's all he wants to do. So big.
Sully is still very much my baby in so many ways. I love him so.
Even though we were exhausted the kids couldn't wait to swim. Unfortunately the nice pool at our hotel was closed so we got shuttled down the street to this not so nice one. No one cared.
At first I think sully forgot that he could swim, but when he got going he was a fish!
After we ate I made sure everyone had a little benadryl and I had some wine for myself. The sleep the 2nd night was MUCH better.

Poor sick little baby
Harry was puking for an entire week a couple of weeks ago. It was so so sad.
And sweet too.
Brooks took the big boys back to the cabin to do boy things and mira and harry stayed home.
We had basketball celebration.
Harry had his well child check.

The days are flying by with record time. I have given up feeling bad about having picture books and such and im working on enjoying the moment.

Spring Cleaning?
Somehow I seem to have passed some adult milestone that includes spring cleaning.. Yeah, we have cleaning ladies so I don't do much cleaning honestly. They get most things great- but they don't do the deep stuff, and neither do I! For whatever reason I have become obsessed with "spring" cleaning. I got a little nutso today- I dismantled both chandeliers and washed the glass bowls by hand.
I scrubbed baseboards with a toothbrush, magic eraser, and a sponge. Too bad they still have so many scuffs!
I removed return air vents and washed them by hand and vacuumed the space behind.
I dusted and scrubbed finger prints, crayons, and dirt off walls and doors.

I still have SO MUCH left, but I'm tired. The thing about this kind of cleaning is this: I just spent 4 hours of my life obsessively scrubbing things that NO ONE will notice I cleaned. On one hand, it feels amazing to know the little things are clean and sparkly. On the other hand it feels like a colossal waste of a day. I'm trying to break it all up into different days. I want to get all of my kitchen cabinets wiped clean at some point and the fridge cleaned out. I didn't do the living room yet, and I haven't touched the upstairs! ;-/ What do you think- is it worth it?

A fun time!
I thought I had posted these but didn't! Sorry! I took the boys to the aquarium a couple of weeks ago. Loved it as usual, but sully was grouchy because no friends were there! Spoiled rotten!
all of us went to disney on ice. The kids loved it. There was a big Peter Pan part and sully loves that!
On one of our super nice days we went to the zoo and took savannah with us. I love taking her- she's so well behaved for me!

7 years old!
We almost always rent a place out for birthdays- it's really easy and not stressful. But for some reason I've been a bit ambitious of late. Ninjago is a really popular thing with little boys right now so there was tons and tons of free stuff online. So I went for it. I made these little treat bags for the boys. The Legos were in the dollar bin for $1 at target. I got a Lego mold from Amazon and made all the kids crayons and I printed them each a free coloring book.
I made cupcakes with fondant precolored from Walmart. So easy!
This banner was also a free print.
We cut out cardboard swords and used duct tape to reinforce them. The boys gotto paint them and use stickers to decorate them. (It kept them from hitting each other hahaha)
13 used ninja stars made by me from cored paper origami to pop balloons.
We played relay races with Legos and also had an obstacle course.
It was really super fun- and kindof crazy.
We took a break and watched ninjago.
He got lots of new Legos for presents and we had fun with them.

I think it was really fun to have the party at home but it was also really stressful lol. Especially JUST coming home from keystone right before! We have another birthday coming up in May so we will see what excitement it holds!

Program
Miras program was Thursday night. She had a little speaking part. Finally the programs are getting better and not so painful to sit through! Haha.
I don't have a ton of pics because I won't be that person blocking everyone's view. I hate our schools program setup, but as it's the one single bad thing about our school, I can deal....

Keystone
This year I got picked to go to the annual ECMO conference in keystone for work!! It was amazing! We were supposed to leave at 9 on Sunday but Denver was being pounded with snow so we got delayed until 8 at night. That started our trip out kinda rough. We finally arrived at our condo at 145 am! We were up again at 6 for the conference. Coffee became my staple...
Every day we had class early until 10 and then we had free time until 4. The keystone conference is different than other conferences bc they assume you want to do winter sports which can't be saved for evenings. We went to lunch.
The second day my friend Michelle and I went up the mountain to explore and go tubing!!
They had a snow fort.
It was SO FUN and really inexpensive.
The gondola rides were amazing.
It snowed nearly every day we were there. Gorgeous.

I was ready to come back and see the kids- the conference was an amazing opportunity and so much fun! I came home to a whirlwind of activity with miras school program and Griffins birthday prep, but we made it!
