Day Trip

So today we put in a full day of sightseeing. We started out at garden of the gods where we heard a ton of complaints. I forgot to bring the baby carrier so I ended up carrying sully through most of it. Mira always says, "that was fun!" At the end after spending the entire time acting like a fat out of shape 15 year old. 

There she is in the shade because she HAS to get out of the sun.

The 6 of us....almost. Sully is playing in the dirt with his car. Nice. 

He loves dirt. 

I have one pic of me and the kids that I look better in but griff close his eyes. Of course.

It was truly very pretty. And HOT.

Then we headed to manitou springs to catch the train to pikes peak. 

Sully was pretty much a monster the entire 90 minute train ride to the top. 

Fighting sheep!! Awesome. 

The top was soooo cold. We had like 20 mins up there. We went to the lookout for 2, went to the bathroom for 10 and then there was a freezing rain. Oh well. After that long I had a headache and was dizzy anyway. 

And a long day means tired babies all around. 

I'm glad we did it but I don't know I would do it again. The summit was so packed. I was going to get them a snack or something but the lines were so long we'd have missed our train back down had we waited. The kids are wild tonight after so much sitting!!! On the way home we hit a pizza place that was "meh" and some ice cream for birthday treat!!! Here's to 32!

Lazy 4th

This morning I went for a long walk on my favorite trail here. It follows the back of the subdivisions and you see this view the entire time. Last time we were here I was able to run the whole thing. Apparently running in altitude and pregnancy = no way. 

So gorgeous. 

The grasses were too high to see the prairie dogs but I saw some baby bunnies. 

Then I took the kids swimming. 

Cold and tired. 

Griffy gets more and more confident every day but is still most confident with his floaties. 

No big plans tonight just some fireworks later and cooking out. Tomorrow we do some sightseeing at pikes peak!

Denver Zoo

Our trip to Colorado is in full swing!!! I spent all day yesterday packing us up, b came home from work early and we were off at around 3! The kids were actually really good in the car and we made it by 1145 mountain time. Sully was up at 615....so we hung out and took a nap this morning and headed to the zoo this afternoon. 

It was hot, but there was a nice breeze in the shade so we survived. A lot of the animals were put away, but sully loooooves animals so I think the day was a success. 

We are home now and g has his first headache in a month so we are laying around. Maybe swim later a bit. 

The elephants, rhinos, and hippo were some of the most active animals we saw which was kinda weird!!

Sully refused to participate in pictures. 

The brown bears too! The were being fed so they were running around like crazy. So fun! 

T-ball star

Mira really loves all sports. Lots of times t ball is her hardest because it doesn't move as fast and she gets bored but at her last game last night she did awesome!!!

She's always been a fast runner and good hitter. 

Such long legs. 

Spectators. The boys got spoiled by grandpa. 

She ended up getting 2 second base outs and then throwing home for 2 more!!! Super exciting! 

Tubes!!!

So sullsie got his tubes placed this morning in his ears. Cheers to no more infections!!!

Here he is taking his preop bath last night. 

I had a little freak out when victim #4 came down with the stomach flu last night. Brooks. Sully shared his fork at dinner. So far so good. He got up happy this morning and was none the wiser. 

Not a fan of his dress. 

Played and played with child life. Loved chasing bubbles. 

Playing cars. 

And riding around. 

He thought this cart would be fun.....until I wasn't going with him. 

Dr Nicklaus gave him her phone to look at animal pics, and he was ok until he saw us go....

She said he did perfectly however he is quite verbal and was very clear he felt tricked! He needed his mommy! When we got him in recovery I held him and he continued to scream that he wanted his mommy. Poor guy. He's had some goldfish and special milk and is hanging out. Whew! Glad it's over! 

A little fun

Sully is so bored when the kids go to school. He gets super happy to see them. 

Yesterday after tae Kwon do I was feeling bad the kids haven't had much of a summer here at home yet. I couldn't get motivated to take them to the pool so we got the slide out. We also invited the neighbor boy over who is in griffins class this summer.

Tons of fun!

Much better and an orange belt!

He allllllways sticks his tongue out when he is "working." 

So proud of our Griffy for getting his orange belt!!! The next belt he has to do a pretty long series of movements. It's going to intimidate him a lot. I feel like we need to start practicing NOW.
