Nearly a month in review!

Sully LOVES raisins. I think it's pretty cute.
I took Addison with us to a library concert event one day. It was sortof painful because my children just complained the whole time which was annoying, but afterward they said they had fun.
Sully finally got his hair cut a couple of weeks ago. The mullet was making B mad. He did fair.
 Mohawk!
 Big boy now!
A couple weeks ago Brooks' friend Tim came in town with his daughter. The kids had a great weekend. Looks like Griffin even rode the camel at the zoo!
Back to school/meet the teacher night. Mira is pumped about school!
 At her cubby.

Yesterday was Mira's last day of summer. I took her to worlds of fun and cici's pizza just the two of us because Griffin didn't want to come. Turns out we were glad cause we had a great time!!
She LOVES this ride. We rode it twice.

She thought the taxis were hard!

Talked me into a $13 face painting we had to wash off at night. haha. It was cute though.

Today is the first day of Kindergarten. No tears here for either of us. She's ready, she needs to go. I think summer school really got us ready too.
 At the bus stop.
Mira and Owen our neighbor. Not in the same class this year, but they'll grow up together.
Now on to bigger and better things I guess! We have 2 weeks before Griff starts pre-K.

Smithville

Triathlon #2 of the year happened today. It was awesome!!! These are me and a few of the people I work with. We actually had at least 2 more people doing it with us from work, but we had a hard time getting together for pictures! My swim was the best swim time for me that I have ever had! I think because I had pretty low expectations. Everything was spot on and I had a fantastic over all time.  This was the first race I've gotten to do with my friend Josie and I loved having such a close friend there with me. It was a good push and also really motivating to see each other out on the course.
My friend Kim is a truly amazing person and inspiration. She has lost a VERY significant amount of weight in the last year. I don't think any of us ever dreamed the day would come when she would be physically able or willing to do a triathlon. She amazes me and I am truly proud to call her my friend.

Sick Griffy

Well now that I am better I guess it's Griffin's turn to be sick. He is puking, slightly feverish, and screaming all day that his head hurts. Well since I already called in twice this week I probably better not again tomorrow.

We have had a busy week this week. Monday mom and I took the kids to oceans of fun and today we saw a movie. I'm trying to make the best of the short 3 weeks we have left of summer!

4th Week

This week with the 4th being in the middle of the week we really didn't plan on much, but Mike and Theresa invited us to the lake and since it was to be their last trip there before they move, we felt like we should go. Sully stayed home with mom so we could have a bit more fun, and it WAS fun! We had a blast! We got a very few fireworks before we left. Nothing crazy but it appeased the kiddos. Their fav are always smoke bombs.

The kids swam and swam and swam.  Griffy got so adventurous and was jumping in and swimming around by himself.

I love just floating on the lake. I could do it all day every day.

The kids took an interesting trip out on the paddle boat and someone had to go get them....

Delaney reading to Griffin. So sweet. We might need to keep her here instead of letting her go to Colorado.
Griff and I took a short ride on the wave runner.

They LOVE tubing. Griffin even goes head first into the tube on the big waves.  It's really funny. They were mad they had to quit.

Silly

I guess he is extra hungry today!

Oceans of Fun!!!

We took the kids to OOF on a sunday a week or so ago. They had a blast. Griffy of course got a headache after a couple of hours so B took the boys home and mom and I stayed with Mira. OOF passes- worth every penny!
